What are some of the weirdest museums in Ohio?

As with any state, you will find your fair share of strange and bizarre places, including museums, to visit in Ohio. The Troll Hole Museum in Alliance touts having the largest collection of Troll dolls in the world. A visit to this quirky museum may make you relive your childhood and, don’t worry, there’s a gift shop so you can buy a Troll doll to take home. In Marion, another strange museum to spend some time at is the Wyandot Popcorn Museum. Here you can find a complete collection of popcorn machines and this is the only museum in the world that can make that claim.

What are the most unique attractions in Ohio?

The Buckeye State has numerous unique and quirky attractions that add a bit more fun to a road trip. In Austinburg, why not stop at the World’s Largest Rocking Chair for a photo opportunity? This massive chair has been around since the 1960s. In Greenville, head to the Maid-Rite Sandwich Shop to get a look at its gum wall exterior. Over the decades, customers and passersby have contributed their chewed gum to this wall and it’s become somewhat of a strange public art exhibit. Head to this post for more bizarre roadside attractions in Ohio.

What are some interesting facts about Ohio?

Ohio is quite a fascinating state! Did you know that the first traffic light in the country made its appearance in Cleveland in 1914 or that American astronaut Neil Armstrong was from Wapakoneta? In addition to those fun facts, Ohio is called the Buckeye State because buckeye trees once covered the hills and plains around the state. The idea for the world-famous ‘Superman’ comic book was created by Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel in Cleveland in 1933.
