You can drive to Goat Island by taking the American Rapids Bridge, but you'll have to pay to park on the island. Alternately, you can walk to the island by taking the American Falls Pedestrian Bridge. On the way across, you can watch the water rushing below.
This trail is open all year so you can go in any season. It may be cold in the winter, but its especially beautiful when it snows. The trail is well-maintained by the park no matter what the weather.
