The Remote Winery In New Jersey That’s Picture Perfect For A Day Trip
New Jersey is home to dozens of wineries, each worth a visit. However, if you’re looking for seclusion, we’ve got a great option for a day or weekend getaway that can’t be missed. Part of a resort, it is truly a “grape” escape.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

If you live in New Jersey, you've probably heard of Renault Winery. Established in 1864, it is one of the oldest continuously operating wineries in the United States. What you may not know is that the winery is also home to a luxurious resort.

Tucked away in the Pine Barrens, amenities at this remote resort include an 18-hole golf course, outdoor pool, spectacular scenery and, of course, an on-site vineyard and winery.

Resort guests and visitors alike can enjoy winery tours and tastings. Tours run daily and last around 40 minutes. $10 will get you a guided tour, tasting and etched wine glass.

This Italianate-style hotel is sure to drop your jaw. You'll be surrounded by splendor in common areas and will enjoy lavishly appointed rooms and suites.

The resort offers two mouthwatering dining options, the Gourmet Restaurant and Joseph's Restaurant. Head to the Gourmet Restaurant (guest or not) for a delectable Sunday brunch featuring pancakes, waffles, omelets, French toast, $3 Bloody Marys and make-your-own mimosas. Joseph's Restaurant serves breakfast (Saturdays), lunch and dinner (daily) and offers an Italian menu and unique bar made of casks.
