This New Jersey Street Is Transforming Into Diagon Alley For One Day Only

I’ve been a huge fan of Harry Potter since the books were released in the U.S. in 1998. I’ve read every one twice and seen the movies more times than I can count. I was heartbroken when the series ended but I’m so happy that the magic has lived on. Of course, there’s the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, but a bit of the books will be brought to life right here in New Jersey – Diagon Alley!

Following Newton's holiday parade, Spring Street will become a wizarding wonderland. There will be quiddich lessons, a cosplay contest, horcrux hunt, potion making, giveaways, owls delivering discounts and all things Harry Potter! You'll even have a chance to be sorted into a Hogwart's house.

You'll find Ollivander's Wand Shop, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and more! The Barrel House becomes the Leaky Cauldron and, yes, there will be butterbeer! There will also be a few Harry Potter-themed additions to the menu, and plenty of decorations. ReCollectables will be hosting a free all-ages coloring contest (winners chosen in different age categories, including 18+) and other local shops and businesses will be joining in on the fun.

Enjoy a full day of fun, without spending a cent…other than on the fantastic food and gifts you can snag on Spring Street.
