Oh No…These 10 Counties Are The Most Sinful In New Jersey
Having recently returned from “Sin City” itself, I was inspired to research New Jersey’s most sinful spots. This list is all in good fun, and is based off the number of “vice” businesses in an area, including liquor stores, adult entertainment venues and casinos/racetracks.
1. Atlantic County
I'm not surprised by this at all. There are 5.9 vice businesses per 10,000 residents, but the county is home to infamous gambling capital, Atlantic City.
2. Hudson County
Another county I'm not surprised by, there are 4.4 vice businesses per 10,000 residents. Hoboken alone sells enough liquor to top this list.
3. Passaic County
Home to several high-crime neighborhoods, there are 4.4 vice businesses per 10,000 residents. The county isn't all bad though! It is home to some incredible estates and Great Falls National Park.
4. Cape May County
I didn't expect the home of charming Cape May to make this list, but there are 4.3 vice businesses per 10,000 residents.
5. Warren County
The scenic Warren County is home to magnificent mountains and 4.0 vice businesses per 10,000 residents.
6. Sussex County
Home to New Jersey's ski resorts, Sussex County has 3.1 vice businesses per 10,000 residents.
7. Union County
Home to many upper middle class neighborhoods, Union County has 3.1 vice businesses per 10,000 residents.
8. Monmouth County
Home to quaint beach towns and sprawling celebrities mansions, you'll find 3.1 vice businesses per 10,000 residents.
9. Hunterdon County
There's so much to see in this scenic town! There's also a lot to do, if you're interested in one of the 3.0 vice businesses per 10,000 residents.
10. Bergen County
Home to some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in New Jersey, you'll find 3.0 vice businesses per 10,000 residents.
These rankings are based on data, but it still depends on what one considers to be a vice. Were you surprised by any of the counties on this list?
