This Hidden, Natural Swimming Hole Is New Jersey’s Best Kept Secret
Pools are just fine, lakes are lovely and oceans are even better, but there’s nothing quite like a stunning natural swimming hole. We don’t have many (legal) swimming holes in the Garden State, but I recently stumbled across one that you will want to check out.

The Quarry Swim Club in Hopewell has served as a spectacular spot for locals to cool off since 1928.

Surrounded by cliffs and unspoiled nature, this rustic swimming spot was once an active rock mining quarry.

When the quarry closed, the spring continued to flow, filling the hole with 55 feet of water.
A truly fantastic place to swim or dive, the club has more to offer than the quarry. There is a sand volleyball court, grill area, snack bar and man-made pool to enjoy.

A private facility, a full season pass costs $900 for a family (up to 6). It is absolutely worth it, but more affordable pricing packages are available. The swim club is open daily until September 5th, with hours varying by day.
Scenic and serene, you can still buy an end of season pass today. For more incredible swimming holes in New Jersey, check out my previous post: Here Are 9 New Jersey Swimming Holes That Will Make Your Summer Epic.
