This Restaurant In New Jersey Doesn’t Look Like Much – But The Food Is Amazing
New Jersey is home to countless hidden gems, the kind of restaurants you pass by without realizing what you're missing out on. I aim to end that as much as I can - if an eatery is good, I'm going to let you know. I discovered this restaurant thanks to a few suggestions from readers and it's a wonderful place to grab a meal.
Jack's Cafe is a cozy eatery with a pretty standard diner-style exterior located on a strip of shops in downtown Westwood.
The interior isn't anything special either, though it's modern and clean with a bit of a retro vibe.
But we know better than to think looks mean everything. For starters, you'll find some delicious desserts.
And I say, "for starters," because I always start with dessert. Fresh, flaky pies are made daily.
Speaking of fresh, "Jack’s Café uses the freshest and finest ingredients including freshly-caught seafood, fresh produce and top-quality meats and provisions."
They've got a simple menu with some truly standout dishes. Try the Moonstruck for breakfast - two eggs served in French Toast with fresh fruit.
Lunch offerings include soups, salads, sandwiches, sliders, pastas and grilled dishes. Their Cuban Sandwiches are some of the best around.
When it comes to sliders, it's not just burgers - try the buffalo chicken cheesesteak slider and add fries. Go for the cajun or sweet potato for something a little different.
When it comes to dinner entrees, almost everything is under $20. Get a New York Strip Steak with potatoes and vegetables for $19.
A few other reasons to love Jack's Cafe? You can BYOB, and they offer catering.
