It isn’t autumn in New England until you’ve gone apple picking. The smell of the orchards, the crisp leaves underfoot, and the reward of a fresh-baked cider donut at the farmstand are a necessity each year. 1. Applecrest Farm Orchard, Hampton Falls
New Hampshire's oldest and largest orchard has been run by four generations of the same family. They have 220 acres of apple orchards, with 40 different varieties of fruit! They also have an extensive farm store. You can find them at 133 Exeter Road (Rt.88), Hampton Falls, NH 03844.
2. Gould Hill Farm, Contoocook

3. Carter Hill Orchard, Concord

4. Alyson's Orchard, Walpole

5. Poverty Lane Orchards, Lebanon
In addition to the standard varieties, Poverty Lane grows a wide range of heirloom apples that taste like nothing you've ever had before. They also make and sell some truly incredible hard cider. Try it at 98 Poverty Ln, Lebanon, NH 03766.
6. Currier Orchards, Merrimack
This delightful family run orchard grows a number of types - and their products for sale include take and bake apple pies! Get one at 9 Peaslee Road Merrimack, NH.
7. Mack's Apples, Londonderry

8. Sunnycrest Farm, Londonderry

9. McLeod Orchards, Milford
This lovely family farm sells produce at farmers markets in the summer but is only open for picking in apple season - so you know they've mastered the fruit! They're located at 735 N River Rd, Milford, New Hampshire.
10. Lull Farm, Hollis
