Thanksgiving dinner is no simple matter. It involves a ton of meal planning, then a great deal of prep. And that doesn't include the grocery shopping, the decorating and deciding who should be invited to the meal. Because, of course, you can't just invite family and friends willy-nilly. With tons of personality types, even a seating plan can cause anxiety. So, this year we vote that you simply abandon it all and go out to dinner!

1. Red Fox Bar & Grille, Jackson

If you're interested in piling a plate high with a meal complete with all the fixins' this is the Thanksgiving buffet for you. There's a carving station featuring toasted turkey, local smokehouse ham and wood roasted prime rib. And the sides are just about endless. 2. Mountain View Grand Resort, Whitefield

Another historic option for your holiday meal, this beautiful Thanksgiving buffet includes things like a slow roasted turkey, sausage stuffing and prime rib. There's even a seafood display and, for the first tie this year, a special children's buffet. This is a great option for families. Seatings take place every half hour between noon and 5:30 p.m. The cost is $65 for adults 13 and up and $25 for ages 6 to 12. Dress code is considered "business casual" and reservations are required. 3. Table + Tonic, North Conway

This unique spot features an organic Thanksgiving dinner with vegan and gluten-free options. You can take part between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., but reservations are required. They can be made online here!.

4. The Wentworth Inn, Jackson Village

5. Stonehurst Manor, North Conway

Thanksgiving dinner is served at the Stonhurst Manor Restaurant, The Wild Rose, from noon to 6 p.m. The menu is set up to be a three-course meal and they even have as separate children's menu. The cost is $38 and reservations are recommended. You can give them a call on 603-356-3113.

6. Omni Mount Washington Resert, Bretton Woods

This year's buffet at the Omni could be the best yet. In addition to dining at one of the most picturesque spots in the state, the food is here is delicious. At $75 for adults and $35 for kids, this meal is a bit pricier than some of the others. But it comes with a free lift ticket to use the same day. 7. Eagle Mountain House, Jackson

This year make things feel extra special by heading to the Eagle Mountain House for their version of the best Thanksgiving buffet. They'll have a large menu featuring items beyond just your typical turkey. The meal is served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m and the cost is $32.95 for adults and $13.95 for kids aged 3 to 12. 8. The Christmas Farm Inn, Jackson

The Christmas Farm Inn is one of the most festive places you can visit this time of year. To kick things off take part in their Thanksgiving buffet which features incredible seasonal dishes like chef-carved roast turkey with house-made gravy and cranberry stuffing.
