Head 40′ Below The Earth’s Surface For Cave After Dark, An Adults-Only Underground Party In Wisconsin

Cave After Dark at Cave of the Mounds in Wisconsin offers unique, themed underground events for adults with live music, drinks, and cave tours.

Feel like you’ve seen everything Wisconsin has to offer? Well, have you looked underground? That may seem like a strange suggestion, but it's where you’ll find one of the state’s most unique events, Cave After Dark. The adults-only bash includes drinks, themed fun, live music, and after-hours cave tours, of course. You’ll definitely want to mark your calendar for this! Take a look:

Located in Blue Mounds about 20 minutes west of Madison, Cave of the Mounds is revered as the premier cave in the upper Midwest. It’s also one of the nation’s best show caves.

A longtime favorite, the underground wonder was discovered in 1939. And it’s rediscovered daily thanks to year-round guided tours.

But tours aren’t the only reason to head underground and explore the cave’s colorful crystal formations.

During the year, a variety of activities and events are held in the cave, including Cave After Dark – a popular series of themed events for adults 21 and older.

With each Cave After Dark event featuring a different theme, the underground fun is ever-changing.

Themes include everything from holiday fun to the roaring '20s and blues night, so there really is something for everyone.

And while the theme varies from event to event, there are a few constants. In addition to after-hours cave tours...

...each event includes food and beverage tastings, live music, theme-related activities, and a cash bar.

Cave After Dark is held pretty regularly – about once a month. However, that’s not definite, so be sure to check the Cave of the Mounds website to stay up-to-date on upcoming events.

So, are you ready to experience one of the state's most beloved natural wonders in a whole new, wonderful way?

Remember, Cave After Dark events usually sell out, so it's best to purchase your tickets in advance. For more information, call (608) 437-3038. You can also visit the Cave of the Mounds website or Facebook page.
