Three Star Vineyard & Orchard is tucked away on Holmes Pond Road in the rural countryside just outside the small town of Johnson.

Family-owned for 30 years, Three Star Vineyard & Orchard harvests over 175 acres of muscadine and scuppernong grapes by hand and prepares them for fresh market or to be sent locally for fermentation and then bottled into delicious wine.

The largest grower and shipper of muscadine and scuppernong grapes in South Carolina, you can find these grapes in grocery stores on the east coast from Florida all the way to New York.

Wine enthusiasts will enjoy visiting this little-known vineyard to see firsthand how one of the ingredients for wine is grown.

Three Star Vineyard & Orchard has converted its original cooler and breezeway into a tasting room large enough for the largest of gatherings.

It specializes in wine slushies that are the perfect cold treat on a hot summer day!

There are many flavor options available, including fruity flavors or dessert flavors, such as fudgesicle.

A family-friendly spot, kids' slushies are also available.

You can book a wine tasting or an event with Three Star Vineyard & Orchard. Weddings have been held here, making for a gorgeous, scenic setting.

Sometimes you'll find live music entertainment, especially at special events such as Customer Appreciation Day.

Auto shows have also been hosted at Three Star Vineyard & Orchard. Sip on your favorite wine or slushy flavor while browsing the automobiles on display.

And be sure to stop by the gift shop before you leave. Opened in August of 2019, it's stocked with products created by women-owned businesses, a gesture of support from one business run by women to others.

And although it's one of South Carolina's lesser-known places, those who do find it become instant, loyal fans. After all, it was by customer request that Three Star Vineyard & Orchard decided to expand and open up a tasting room where customers could have a place to enjoy their wine with friends. Prior to that, it was wholesale only for about 28 years.
