Whitewater rafting is a popular summer sport for adventurous Montanans, and you'll find plenty of rivers perfect for it. But if you want to enjoy a day of whitewater rafting while seeing the Crown Jewel of the Continent (otherwise known as Glacier National Park) at the same time, you'll have to book a tour through Wild River Adventures.
Wild River Adventures is located in West Glacier on Highway 2 East.
The company's roots go back to 1974, when George Mumalo founded the first rafting company at Glacier. He even took then Vice President George H.W. Bush on a float trip.
Their whitewater guides will take you down the Middle and North Fork of the Flathead River, two of Montana’s wildest rivers.
These rivers form the southern and western boundaries of Glacier National Park, and they happen to be some of the cleanest rivers in the world.
You can choose from a half day whitewater trip or a full-day adventure, which includes lunch on the river.
A full day costs $93 for adults, a half day is just $54.
You can even choose an evening whitewater trip, where you'll have dinner on the river.
These four hour trips are perfect for anyone seeking a unique dining experience while visiting the park.
There is no thrill quite like whitewater rafting, and the guides at Wild River Adventures really know their stuff.
You'll be in good hands.
And did we mention the scenery is unreal?
This is a unique and beautiful way to see Glacier like you've never seen it before.
