The Enchanting Waterfront Montana Park You Never Knew Existed

If you live in the Billings area, you probably already know that there are a lot of hidden gems for outdoor enthusiasts. If you don't, you may not be aware of a wonderful waterfront park that happens to be a great place to spend an afternoon.

Riverfront Park is located on the banks of the Yellowstone River with Lake Josephine right in its center. Needless to say, this is one picturesque place.

A trail system runs right through the park, allowing ample opportunities for exercise with a view.

Since it's right on the river, this is a great park for fly fishing.

There's also a mulit-use recreation facility (including playground equipment), so it's the perfect place to bring children.

The park has so many natural areas, it's easy to forget you're technically in the city.

You can always go boating on the lake or go for a swim on a hot day, too.

There are several different picnic and BBQ areas at the park, much to the delight of the locals.

This is definitely the perfect place for an outdoor gathering.

This beautiful park is open year round, for day use only.

Go for a jog, do some fishing, play some volleyball and have a picnic... but definitely don't forget to feed the ducks.
