Montana transforms into a winter wonderland with several spots resembling the North Pole during the holiday season.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Montana, especially now that most of the state has had its first (and second) snowfall. Between our winter weather and some of our public spaces decking their halls, there are a few spots in our beautiful state that could easily pass for the North Pole. Enjoy!

Whitefish is so beautiful this time of year.

2. The Resort at Paws Up, Greenough

The Resort at Paws Up transforms into a magical Christmas village each year, complete with visits from Santa himself.

3. Brookside Yard Cafe, Bigfork

4. ZooMontana, Billings

ZooLights is a magical experience at the zoo.

5. Reeder’s Alley, Helena

This little piece of Helena’s past looks positively charming this time of year.

6. The Lone Mountain Ranch, Big Sky

Between their notorious sleigh ride dinners and the soft coating of snow, the Lone Mountain Ranch is a winter paradise.

7. Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park is like your most photogenic friend that never takes a bad picture. But it’s especially majestic during the holiday season.

8. The Charlie Russell Chew Choo Train, Lewistown

Montana’s dinner train is currently offering their North Pole Adventure train rides. The journey to the North Pole includes cocoa, snacks and visits from Santa.

9. Peters Ridge

What an incredible view of the Flathead.

Snow seems to make Montana look even more magical. These winter photos will have you looking forward to the next few months.
