How lucky are we to live in Missouri, a state that has everything we could ever want - from villages and small towns to big cities? Then there are all of the amazing outdoor spaces that awaken the adventurer in all of us. Next time adventure comes calling, answer it with a stroll along this nice wildflower trail in St. Louis. It's one of the best easy hikes in Missouri!

You won't need a whole lot of time, maybe an hour or so, to meander along the 1.8-mile Cliff Cave Trail at Cliff Cave Park in St. Louis County.

But you'll probably want to take your time and soak up all the natural beauty on the way.

Ideal for the whole family, including the kiddos and your pup, Cliff Cave Loop Trail may have "cave" in its name, and you'll pass a few, but it's the wildflowers that are sure to take your breath away. It's about to become one of your favorite parts of spring in Missouri!

Just remember to keep your dog leashed if you bring him along.

While you'll want to follow this trail whenever the mood strikes and in any season, make sure you also check it out when the wildflowers are in bloom.

Unfortunately, the caves along the trail are closed to visitors. Do not attempt to access them.

Scores of wildflowers add a pop of color to the landscape. Stop to smell them, but as with all spring wildflower hikes in Missouri, remember to leave everything as it is.
