This Little-Known Lake Is Perfect For Easy Fishing, Kayaking, Canoeing, And Swimming In Mississippi
Sitting pretty in the Hills Region lies a little-known lake in Mississippi that’s worth seeking out. Enid Lake often gets overshadowed by its neighbors, Sardis Lake and Grenada Lake, but this underrated lake is easily one of the most beautiful lakes in Mississippi. Let’s check it out:
One of the best parts about Enid Lake is how many access points there are.
It’s practically surrounded by recreation areas and campgrounds.
The western side of the lake is more popular, and you’ll have plenty of options on this side.
During the summer months, the swim beach at Hickory Ridge is a favorite for locals looking to keep cool on a hot summer day.
There are multiple boat ramps for folks who want to do a little fishing or just enjoy a day of boating on the water.
Crappie, largemouth bass, catfish, and bream are just a few examples of what you could reel in. Enid Lake is great for kayaking and canoeing, too. I always prefer paddling around the lake. You can get such a unique perspective from the water, and it’s a great opportunity to do a little bird-watching while you’re out there.
While there are plenty of shoreline campsites along Enid Lake to choose from, there are also a few waterfront rentals on Enid Lake, too.
This lovely Vrbo on Enid Lake has two bedrooms, a pool table, and lovely waterfront views.
No matter where you decide to enjoy Enid Lake, be sure to stick around until sunset.
There’s just something special about a sunset over the water, and the sunsets at Enid Lake don’t disappoint!
It's also a great time for the local wildlife to make an appearance.
Deer are abundant in the area, so there's a good chance you'll see a few during your visit.
