Mississippi Has A Brand New State Of The Art Playground
LeFleur’s Bluff Playground in Jackson, Mississippi, offers a state-of-the-art, inclusive play area for children of all ages and abilities.
On the western edge of Lafleur’s Bluff State Park in Jackson lies the most unique playground in Mississippi. Completed in December 2021, Lefleur’s Bluff Playground is a relatively new addition to the park, and its state-of-the-art design is just one of the reasons you should pile your family into the car and check it out.
The 30,000-square-foot playground is unlike any other playground in the state.
The design of these structures is both beautiful and functional!
The playground is divided up into different play areas based on age, so kids of all ages and abilities will be able to enjoy themselves.
There’s a play area for kids younger than two, a play area for toddlers, and one for older kids, too.
Each one is designed with the age range in mind. The section for the youngest age group is the first play area in the world with this design!
Of the 80 activities within the playground, 73 are inclusive for kids with accessibility needs.
There’s even a special swing that’s wheelchair accessible.
Your kids will have a blast climbing, swinging, and jumping across all the fun zones.
There are even a few musical sections where your kids might discover a new passion!
About 75% of the playground is shaded, which can make the area in the shade up to 30 degrees cooler!
That is crucial in the summer. We all know how hot Mississippi summers can be!
