Little River Flower Farm in Buxton offers 110 acres of beauty in rural Maine.

Nancy Stedman purchased the land and has worked hard to bring it back to life. That includes working to restore the 1815 farmhouse.

Most importantly, she organically grows over 7,000 annuals and perennials!

The land, which has been well-loved now offers visitors the chance to enjoy a walking path along the Little River as well as growing fields and perennial beds.

The perennial beds are 3 acres large and offer visitors the chance to cut their very own flowers. While they change each year, you'll find things like lilacs, alliums and grape hyacinth.

This is a popular activity for those hosting a special occasion, like a wedding. Groups can make a reservation to pick the exact flowers they'll use for their wedding, from bouquets to table centerpieces.

Of course, simply coming in to cut flowers to tuck into special corners of your home is a great idea too.

No matter what your reason, cutting these beautiful flowers to take home is a wonderful way to spend a day. The farm is spectacular and the flowers allow a piece of that to travel back with you.
