It's no secret that Twin Falls County in southern Idaho has an abundance of waterfalls. In fact, it's home to the state's most famous waterfall. However, it also contains a plethora of lesser known waterfalls that are just as worthy of a visit. If you love waterfalls (who doesn't?), you'll want to visit this county as soon as possible. 1. Perrine Coulee Falls

With a height of around 200 feet, Perrine Coulee Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the area. The sight of the cascading water pouring over the canyon wall is simple stunning. This waterfall is unique because you can even walk behind the stream of water at its base. The flow of the waterfall actually increases during summer, but it's a spectacular sight all year long.

2. Caldron Linn Falls

Caldron Linn (also known as Cauldron Linn or Star Falls) is one of the area's most breathtaking hidden gems. Located on the Snake River, the water is forced through an opening that is merely 40 feet wide. The result is a stunning waterfall that not many people are aware of. The best time to visit this waterfall is during spring since the melting snow causes a swell in the waterfall.

3. Auger Falls

North of the city of Twin Falls is Auger Falls Heritage Park where you'll find this next waterfall. Auger Falls is located on the Snake River and drops a height of 20-50 feet. The journey to find this remote waterfall is totally worth it. The little-known park offers amazing hiking and mountain biking trails for exploring this pristine area.

4. Pillar Falls

Pillar Falls is another humble waterfall that drops only about 20 feet. However, it's still a stunning sight. The waterfall is characterized by enormous basaltic rock towers that range in 30 to 70 feet tall. These "pillars" are simply breathtaking when seen up close. Located just 1 mile north of Twin Falls, this is a popular spot for kayaking and paddleboarding.

5. Twin Falls

A visit to the Twin Falls which gave the city its name is a must on your waterfall adventure. You'll find it located approximately 5 miles east of the town of Twin Falls. The waterfall actually used to be two separate (twin) waterfalls. Unfortunately, the second waterfall doesn't flow anymore because of the dam. Still, Twin Falls is an iconic waterfall that everybody should see.

6. Bridal Veil Falls

Located in Shoshone Falls Park is the small but delightful Bridal Veil Falls. The waterfall is fed by Dierkes Lake and plunges approximately 25-40 feet down the Snake River Canyon wall. This is one of the most easily accessible waterfalls since it's situated in the vicinity as the iconic Shoshone Falls.

7. Shoshone Falls

This list just wouldn't be complete without the addition of the one-and-only Shoshone Falls.The waterfall is one of Idaho's most iconic landmarks. With falls that are higher than even Niagara Falls, the sight of the waterfall is downright awe-inspiring. The best place to view the falls is from the overlook in Shoshone Falls Park during the spring time. However, it's a magical sight no matter what time you come to see it.
