Family-Owned Since The 1940s, Step Back In Time At Lydia's Supper Club In Montana
It’s always exciting to try a new restaurant, but there’s something comforting about enjoying a meal at a tried-and-true eatery with a lot of history. Lydia’s Supper Club in Butte is a prime example. Modeled after historic Meaderville’s world-famous supper clubs, this gem has truly stood the test of time — and it’s still owned by its founding family.
Lydia's was opened in 1946 by Lydia Micheletti, who had quite a bit of experience working in the local supper clubs.
At the time, Butte's Meaderville neighborhood was full of old-fashioned Italian supper clubs. Lydia's is the only one that remains.
The restaurant moved to its current location in 1964, after building up such a loyal clientele that Lydia wanted to expand.
Lydia worked tirelessly every day of the week to make sure the restaurant was up to her standards. She eventually retired and sold the business to her brother David, who ran the restaurant until his death in 2009.
Lydia's is currently being run by David's two grandchildren, Antonia and Nico, and their spouses.
But when you walk in, you'll still get that same warm, nostalgic feeling you'd find when Lydia was running the place.
Whether it be for a family dinner, a special occasion, or a private event, the locals love to gather at Lydia's.
The main dining room is regal and traditionally refined, and there's also a private banquet room that can seat 90-100 guests.
The menu here is decidedly Italian, but you can expect much more than pasta.
Steaks, chops, and seafood are all on the menu, along with some tasty accompaniments like garlic lime shrimp skewers and Alaskan king crab.
It isn't always easy to find fresh seafood in Montana, but the seafood here is delightful.
Lydia's recently offered a steak and lobster special, and they're always running a tempting promotion or two to bring in hungry customers.

They'll serve your guests a hearty buffet-style dinner and an array of tasty appetizers.
Lydia's Supper Club is full of good old-fashioned Italian cuisine, which you can follow with one of the many specialty cocktails ranging from strong to sweet.
But whatever you do, make sure you leave room for dessert. The individually-sized cakes and pies are fantastic.
