8 Gorgeous Frozen Waterfalls In Maine That Must Be Seen To Be Believed
Most people are aware of the wonderful waterfalls that Maine has to offer, but did you know that some are even more wonderful in the winter? Like many things in the outdoors of Maine, winter just makes them even more beautiful. Some of these will be familiar and some are probably completely hidden. But, take a look around and you might be lucky and find them completely frozen over like something out of a sci-fi movie!

These falls in Windham feel almost ethereal.

About 45 minutes from Snow Falls, you'll find Screw Auger. These Bear River-sourced falls are comprised of two impressive drops, each 30' high. You can't swim here in the summer, so might as well head here in the winter.
