This Historic Park In Maine Offers Both Sweeping Views Of Casco Bay And Some History

Most of us can agree that Maine has some of the most scenic spots to enjoy nature. Many are found off-the-beaten-path, secreted along the coast where only the most intrepid can find them. We love that the state offers so much adventure, but we don’t love the idea that finding beauty here requires effort. Instead, we like to find scenic spots that are accessible to many. This park has some of the best views in the state and it’s can be found right in Portland.

During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.

Fort Allen Park in Portland is open year-round, from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. These are the official hours, but it’s not uncommon to see people parked here enjoying the evening view at many hours.
