This 1,200-acre state park opened in 1999 and quickly became one of the most popular state parks in Louisiana.

One of the most exciting attractions about the park are the unique ecosystems. There are four distinct ecosystems within the park: a cypress-tupelo swamp, a bottomland hardwood forest, a mixed pine hardwood forest, and the Tickfaw River.

There are over five miles of trails to awaken your inner explorer.

Clocking in at just around two miles, it’s easy enough to knock out before lunch!

It's one of the most picturesque trails for a reason!

Emerald green trees, beautiful brown bayous and iconic cypress knees are just what you need to fall in love with Louisiana all over again.

Kids will love spotting wildlife along the way. Keep your eyes on the water and you might just catch a turtle or an alligator sunbathing!
