Today, we’re heading over to Central Louisiana to explore the Lake Chicot Loop Trail, one of the most scenic trails in Louisiana. Let’s check it out.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

In addition to the many primitive campsites peppered around the park, there are several RV hook-ups as well as lakefront cabins which can sleep up to eight people.
While you’re at Chicot State Park be sure to visit the Louisiana State Arboretum, located within the park. For more information, be sure to check out its website and give them a follow on Facebook.
