Lace Up Those Boots An Explore The Picturesque Dawson Creek Trail In Louisiana
We’re always on the hunt for beautiful trails to feature, especially this time of year. If you’re in the Greater Baton Rouge Area, you may have heard about Perkins Road Community Park, but have you ever visited it? There are more attractions at this one park than you can shake a stick at, including the Dawson Creek Trail, also known as the Dawson’s Creek Greenway. Picture-perfect in every way, this is one trail the whole family can enjoy.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

This extreme sports park has plenty of attractions to keep the adrenaline junkie entertained, including a skate park, a BMX raceway, a rock climbing wall, tennis courts, and so much more.

You'll find a sprawling green space, lovely waterways, and even a stocked pond to do a little fishing.

The loop trail is about 4.5 miles long and paved, though there are offshoots that will take you off-pavement to primitive trails.

And keep an eye out for wildlife along the way! It’s a great spot for birdwatching.

It's easy to navigate with a stroller!

Add the sway of Spanish Moss and you're truly in heaven.

If you have the opportunity to catch a sunset here, do it! You won't regret it.
For more information, be sure to check out the park’s website.
