This 60 foot tall structure is one of the most unique freestanding rock formations in the eastern U.S. It's also hundreds of millions of years old and pretty spectacular to view up close. Cataract Falls is the largest waterfall by volume in the state and easy for anyone to visit. While you can definitely hike to (and on) the falls, there are entrances to both the upper and lower falls where you can park and enjoy them from just outside of your car.
