Vito & Nick's started out as a tavern in 1923 and has moved around over the years. In 1939, it started selling Italian sandwiches, sausage, beef, and snacks and added pizza to the mix in 1946.

Known for its inexpensive, quality Italian dishes, the restaurant is known as much for its history as it is for its food. Family-owned and locally-operated, this is a quintessential Chicago eatery.

Locals love this spot for more than just its Chicago thin-crust pizza. After just one visit to this excellent restaurant, you'll understand what makes the atmosphere so special.

Vito & Nick's does not offer delivery, so if you want to try their food, you'll have to come in and enjoy it alongside its community atmosphere.

When it comes to the pizzas, each is made on a cracker-thin crust that is homemade and stretched thin. There are many different specialty options including Italian beef with hot or mild giardiniera or egg with crumbled pepperoni (which is only available on Fridays).

Other toppings include sausage, shrimp, anchovies, ground beef, black and green olives, mushrooms, spinach, and much more.

Additional menu items include garlic bread, cheese sticks, pizza bread, onion rings, meatball sandwiches, burgers, Italian beef sandwiches, ravioli, spaghetti, ribs, fried chicken, and so much more.

On Fridays, the restaurant even offers all-you-can-eat smelts.

A full bar is available at this family-friendly restaurant that has been around for more than 90 years. Come experience the traditions and see what it takes to get a Chicagoan to abandon deep-dish.
