Fort Mountain State Park is pretty cool in its own right. The 3,712-acre state park is near Ellijay and Chatsworth. The park has a renovated fire tower that will give you some of the best views in the Peach State. The campground is open year-round and has scenic mountain surroundings. The Ravens Cliff Wilderness Area is over 9,000 protected acres inside the Chattahoochee National Forest. The area is best known for being home to Raven Cliff Falls, a stunning waterfall paradise that cascades down 40 feet. This is primitive camping at its finest!

The Upper Chattahoochee River Campground is the perfect place to sleep after you've spent the day exploring Horse Trough Falls. This Blue Ridge Mountain campsite has 19 sites and is only half an hour away from the small town of Helen, though it feels like you're very far from civilization.

The gorgeous West Fork Campground gets its name due to its location along the west fork of the Chattooga River. This first-come, first-served campground is about half an hour from the town of Clayton. The views are incredible here, and it's an ideal spot for fishing or canoeing.
