One Trip To This Pickle Themed Restaurant In Wisconsin And You’ll Relish It Forever

The Pickle Factory Waterfront Grill on Lake Pepin offers a unique dining experience with a rich history and scenic views.

More than a century ago, a new business on the shores of Lake Pepin was a bustling place (or big dill, if you will) cranking out jar after jar of delicious pickles. A lot has changed since the early 1900s, but Lake Pepin is livelier than ever and it hasn’t forgotten its pickled roots. The Pickle Factory Waterfront Grill, known lovingly as the pickle restaurant, is the perfect place to enjoy great food and atmosphere – and maybe a gherkin or two! Here’s why you need to plan a visit to this pickle-themed restaurant in Wisconsin…

The story of the Pickle Factory begins in the early 1900s. It was opened by a businessperson Ed Theis and his family.

It produced several varieties of pickles and sauerkraut. The factory eventually relocated and several other enterprises were located in the building.

At its heart, it was always a pickle factory and in the 1980s it was purchased to be remodeled into a restaurant. Today it’s the place to be on Lake Pepin.

Lake Pepin is a huge, naturally occurring lake on the Minnesota-Wisconsin border – it was caused by a melting glacier at the end of the last ice age. It’s known as the birthplace of water skiing and it’s popular with boaters and anglers.

The Lake Pepin Pickle Factory’s umbrellas beckon to people who have worked up a hunger after a long day in the sun. Dock your boat or pull up your car and get ready for a good time – a stool is waiting!

If you’re in need of a cheeseburger in paradise, the Pickle Factory has you covered. It also has a nice selection of appetizers including – of course – fried pickles.

The Pickle Factory is a lively place – it sometimes has live music and it has a great selection of beer on tap. Enjoy a cold one and a great view of Lake Pepin!

The Pickle Factory Bar & Grill in Wisconsin is open Friday-Sunday. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed on the patio at this pickle restaurant in Wisconsin, too. Dock space is available for customers while they are on-premise. Learn more and see the current menu on the Pickle Factory’s website. If you’ve never been to Lake Pepin, you'll love it.
