Legend Deli has been open for only a few short months but already is creating quite the buzz around town. So the next time you're looking for a great sandwich shop in Charleston, South Carolina, head on over to this spot downtown on George Street, just half a block off King Street near the College of Charleston.
The word "legend" in the name seems fitting, as the place was opened by two culinary greats, Chaz Wendel (Charleston Crab House owner) and Tyler Hunt (former Husk Sous Chef). You have that feeling walking through the door with this knowledge that it's going to be good!
The menu at this sandwich shop is fun with sandwiches named the likes of Up To No Gouda, the Chucktown Chop Cheese, and The G.O.A.T.
Each sandwich is piled high with goodness that includes the freshest ingredients served on breads from the local Normandy Farm Artisan Bakery.
If by chance you're having a hard time deciding which delicious sandwich to try, you can always order the "Rain the Funk" option. For $8 at breakfast and $14 at lunch, the LEGENDS will decide for you!
That's right. In addition to lunch, you can also come to Legend Deli for the most important meal of the day. The breakfast burrito and bagel selections are well-loved. No matter when you come or what you decide to order, you really can't go wrong.
The fun doesn't stop with the menu at this deli. There's such a cool, positive vibe and atmosphere, too, with top-notch service and generous portions.
