Florence is a small community of 643 people in Ravalli Count, but rest assured, everything about this place is world-class.

The taphouse was founded by lifelong Montanans (and Florence residents) Chris and Tessa Lynn.

Chris and Tessa's favorite place to enjoy a beverage is their own backyard. So they decided to open a taproom that felt like home.

Clearly, those two were on to something, because sipping a cold beer on this patio is the next best thing to being at home.

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and inviting. And since the business is kid-friendly, you can bring the entire family along.

With 32 taps, it's safe to say this place has a huge beer collection.

And all of those beers were brewed right here in Montana.

When you visit, come hungry - this place is just as well-known for the food as it is the beer.

From burgers and sandwiches to bowls and salads (and even a long list of pizzas), Backyard Tap House will have what you're craving. They also offer a children's menu full of all the things little ones love.

The food ingredients are as local as the beer.

They use grass-fed beef from Oxbow Cattle Company, and everything is sourced locally or regionally whenever possible.

Backyard Tap House is open Tuesday - Sunday from 11:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., except for Sundays, when they close at 8.
