There’s nothing like a juicy, perfectly grilled steak. Luckily, great steakhouses can be found all over the Magnolia State – even in the state’s small towns. In fact, some of Mississippi's small town steakhouses are so good that they're worth visiting, despite their remote locales. Read on for 7 prime examples.
1. Como Steakhouse
In spite of its obscure location, Como Steakhouse continually attracts people from all over Mississippi and even Memphis. Because of its popularity, there’s bound to be a crowd at this popular restaurant, but the mouthwatering steak is so good, it’s definitely worth the wait. Consistently grilled to perfection, the premier choice steaks have even been referred to as "the best in the South." Como Steakhouse is located at 203 Main St., Como, MS 38619.
2. Marshall Steakhouse
Marshall Steakhouse is tucked away in the small town of Holly Springs. Though opened less than two years, the rustic restaurant has already become known for its mouthwatering steaks. For the die-hard steak fans, there’s the 72-ounce Steak Challenge, which requires eating a 72-ounce steak, baked potato, salad, and shrimp cocktail in less than an hour. Visit Marshall Steakhouse at 2379 Hwy. 178 West, Holly Springs, MS 38635.
3. Wynndale Steakhouse
Head to the tiny town of Terry, and you’ll find about 1,000 residents and Wynndale Steakhouse. The restaurant has been in business for years, serving up what’s been voted one of the best steaks in the state. Wynndale Steakhouse may be out in the middle of nowhere but it’s totally worth the journey. Check it out for yourself at 6672 Terry Rd., Terry, MS 39170.
4. T-Bones Steakhouse
The slogan at this small town steakhouse is, "Come as strangers, leave as friends" – and that’s a good thing because the steaks are so good, you’ll definitely want to revisit again and again. In addition to the "best steaks around," the eatery serves up some great seafood and even has a buffet on the weekends. Visit T-Bones Steakhouse at 10470 MS-15, Union, MS 39365.
5. Lee's Steakhouse
In a town of less than 300, the last thing you’d expect to find is one of the best steakhouses in the state, but that’s exactly the case with this Sebastopol gem. The family-owned steakhouse specializes in premium Black Angus beef steaks, which are regularly described as "melt in your mouth." Lee’s Steakhouse is located at 15874 MS-21, Sebastopol, MS 39359.
6. HD Gibbes & Sons
HD Gibbes & Sons may not technically be a steakhouse, but since it serves up some of the best steaks in Mississippi, we felt the need to mention it. A real hidden gem, it’s tucked away in a tiny town with less than 100 residents! On the menu, you’ll find a variety of tasty options, including out-of-this-world steaks. Visit HD Gibbes & Sons at 140 Main St., Learned, MS 39154.
7. Dempsey's Steak and Seafood
