The Bludgeon Of Beef From Manny’s Steakhouse In Minnesota Is So Big, It Could Feed An Entire Family

Manny's Steakhouse has been a Minneapolis institution for decades and is easily one of the top steakhouses in the state. Apart from boasting steaks of impeccable quality, another thing Manny's is known for is the sheer size of its servings. It serves some of the biggest steaks in Minnesota - and easily the biggest I've ever encountered. For example, at more than three pounds, its "Bludgeon of Beef" is so big that it could feed an entire family (we split it four ways)!

You'll find Manny's Steakhouse in the iconic Foshay Tower, which it shares with the W Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.

Inside, you'll find a swank bar and just the kind of dim, clubby ambiance (lots of wood) that you'd expect to see in an upscale steakhouse.

Much of the decor pays homage to the source of Manny's acclaimed steaks: Angus beef cattle.

You'll find a top-notch bar program with an extensive wine list and perfectly-crafted classic cocktails.

An old fashioned is never out of style at Manny's.

And you'll need that drink before you settle in and are presented with the portions you must face.

Whether it's steak or seafood, somehow, many dishes are massive.

Even the sides are sized to be shared among the table.

The star of the show at Manny's, though, is the Bludgeon of Beef.

It's a 50-ounce, bone-in ribeye, dry aged for weeks, then cooked to perfection.

And, if somehow you still have a sweet tooth to satisfy after your meal, Manny's will not let you down in that department, either.

Try the head-sized banana split or the ever-popular chocolate brownie - which comes in at around 4 pounds.

What you can't finish, you can certainly take home - if you have fur babies, they would certainly love the bone!
