This Is the Best Buffet in Southern California, Known for Its Delicious Breakfast Dishes

There is no doubt that Southern California has some pretty incredible places to eat. But if you want a delicious restaurant, and likely one of the best buffets in Southern California, you’ll find it tucked away in The Garland, one of our favorite SoCal hotels in North Hollywood.

If you are looking for a true California experience, you’ll find it at The Garland, a boutique hotel with deep Hollywood roots. This unique place to stay dates back to the 1970s, when Hollywood actress Beverly Garland and her husband, Fillmore Crank, discovered the property and created a place where their friends and family could gather.

Today, this hotel takes you back in time with its '70s retro décor, more than 270 guest rooms, and seven acres to explore. During a stay at The Garland, you’ll enjoy all types of amenities, including private balconies, in-room entertainment systems, a pool, a gym, and an outdoor courtyard where you can enjoy the California sunshine.

But, one of the things we love most about The Garland is its on-site restaurant—The Front Yard.

When you sit down at The Front Yard, you’ll feel like you are sitting down on a neighbor’s back porch for a casual evening filled with laughter, food, and drinks. This restaurant’s gorgeous outdoor patio features a large fireplace, serving as its centerpiece and creating a homey and romantic ambiance. Lights are strung overhead, and the lush landscaping surrounding the patio makes you feel far away—not in the middle of the city. The indoor dining room and bar are just as beautiful with large windows, beautiful lighting, and décor that adds to the space yet doesn’t make it feel crowded and stuffy.

And while the vibe of The Front Yard is certainly exquisite, the menu is just as delectable. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this restaurant serves an elevated menu with dishes that boast seasonal flavors and are prepared to perfection. For lunch or dinner, start off your meal with one of its delicious bites or starters, and then dive into your entree that is almost too beautiful to eat. Of course, you can pair your meal with a delightful beverage and choose from one of the many drinks offered. We recommend focusing on the Sky Ranch Rose, the hotel’s very own wine.

However, one of our favorite times to visit The Front Yard is for breakfast, as there are a handful of options from French toast to breakfast burritos. But, there’s nothing quite like The Front Yard Breakfast Buffet. This buffet offers a little bit of everything, and you certainly won’t leave hungry. Juice and coffee are included as well.

I love pastries and baked goods for breakfast (carbs are my friend!), and with such delicious options, don't be surprised if you can't stop at just one. You can also enjoy several protein options and dishes that are either sweet or savory.
