Spend A Refreshing Day Keeping Cool At Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark In South Carolina

Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark in Charleston offers a variety of water attractions and opens for the summer season soon.

Water parks throughout South Carolina will be opening soon for the summer season - and we couldn't be more thrilled. We can't help but hope this summer will turn out to be much more normal than the last, and few experiences say summer more than a fun day spent at an adventurous water park. On that note, Whirlin' Waters Adventure Waterpark in Charleston will be opening very soon - so start planning!

Opened in 2001, the Lowcountry water park is primed for family fun all season long.

The adventures begin with the tallest water slide in the Lowcountry. Launching from 60 feet up in the air, visitors spill down the slide to the pool at the bottom. And the raft is big enough for more than one. But remember: the more people you pile on, the faster that raft will go!

When you're finished on the Washout mentioned above, head to the Rip Tide.

Here, you'll race others from the top to the bottom of this bumpy slide. Again, weight matters, so you may want to load your pockets with rocks.

From there, head over to the Rollin' River and relax while the current carries you 'round and 'round this refreshing lazy river.

For the littlest members of the family, Whirlin' Waters has smaller slides and the Lily Pad Lagoon, which is the perfect depth for splashing around.

Kiddos who are a bit past the toddler stage will go wild exploring the Big Splash Tree House.

All while keeping cool in the hot summer sun.

Back to the slide attractions, the Washout's other slide is loads of fun for multiples on the same raft.

You'll be smiling the day away at Whirlin' Waters... and so will the kids!

Be sure to add a run down the Tubular Twister to your must-do agenda.

And enjoy landing in the cool water at the end of the run.

Whirlin' Waters Adventure Waterpark in Charleston opens for the summer on the weekends only beginning in May and going through mid-August. In mid-August, the park switches back to weekends only through Labor Day. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Learn more, including admission fees, on the official website for Whirlin' Waters.
