Agritourism in South Carolina is at an all-time high with scores of farms all over the state opening their fields for family fun and adventure that just can't be found outside of a farm setting. And when it comes to Halloween, corn mazes and more provide fun the whole family can enjoy. But this year, there's only one place that offers an after dark hayride that's so gruesome it's not recommended for anyone under the age of 12...

It's held right here in the very spot where only a few months ago school buses filled with small children would arrive on field trips to pick strawberries.

Well. The strawberries are long gone and the field is now converted into a split Halloween celebration with the less frightening pumpkin patch and its wholesome family fun on one side of the field. And waaaaay over on the other side...

some grownup Halloween fun including a hayride so gruesome you may wish you'd stayed behind in the car.

This year's hayride is called the "Sinister Cinema Haunted Hayride."

Hop on for a darker than black trip into the woods where the back lot of a movie comes to life before your eyes.

But the fun doesn't end there. The Sinister Cinema Haunted Hayride is only one of three attractions this year at Boone Hall Fright Nights.

Wander through the Fallen Oaks Motel - if you dare - and discover exactly what's inside these walls of terror.

You can bet you'll encounter more than just a malevolent maid...

And finally, if you haven't hauled hide back to your car just yet, then be sure to head into Tiny's Toy Factory Anarchy.

Watch as Tiny's evil destruction destroys everything in reach. Be sure to stand more than an arm's length away...

Tickets for this ghastly evening of fun are available online. One ticket gets you into all three of the attractions. The event takes place Thursday through Sunday nights now through Sunday, October 31, 2021. With COVID still lingering, tickets are again limited this year and some nights have already sold out. This event is designed to be extremely scary. Kids under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Kids age 6 and under will not be admitted.
