There’s A Peculiarium In Oregon And It’s Full Of Fascinating Oddities, Artifacts, And More

The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium in Portland, Oregon, is a unique museum filled with oddities and interactive exhibits.

Oregon is a downright weird place—and we wouldn't have it any other way. Home to Bigfoot sightings and creepy sea monsters, Oregon is full of weirdness and oddities, and a literal museum of pecularities. The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium in Oregon is quite possibly the weirdest place you'll ever visit, full of fascinating oddities, artifacts, and more. In other words, it fits right in here in the Beaver State!

Located at 2234 NW Thurman Street in Portland, Oregon (where else?), the Freakybuttrue Peculiarium is a wholly unique place where weirdness wins.

There's no false advertising here. This place is unabashedly weird. Don't say they didn't warn you!

As you walk into this freaky little funhouse, you won't know where to look first... or what, exactly, you're looking at.

The Peculiarium will engage all six senses, with toys, novelties, gags, books, artwork, tricks, one-of-a-kind oddities, and ephemera everywhere you turn. (Many of the exhibits are interactive, too, so check your inhibitions at the door and just go with it!)

There might be a Sasquatch sighting or two here. Don't be alarmed -- just proceed carefully.

This is the world's only Freakybuttrue Peculiarium, and it's an only-in-Oregon gem you absolutely must experience.

The Peculiarium is an iconoclastic place that's as weird as it gets. Go with it -- and have fun! Life is too short to not embrace your inner weirdness.

Have you visited this freaky little locale before? If so, we'd love to hear about your experience! The Peculiarium is open every day of the week and is $10 admission per person, $7 on Tuesdays. BUT, Lisa Freeman, Peculiarium co-owner, says "if you come in wearing a decent costume, or bring a well-behaved pet along, you'll get a free admission!" Don't ask us twice! Learn more at the Peculiarium's website and Facebook page.
