The North Dakota kite festival draws folks from far and wide and offers fun activities for all ages: Sky Fest over Fort Stevenson
Spend your Memorial Day weekend at this kite extravaganza in North Dakota:
It's called Sky Fest Over Ft. Stevenson.
This event takes place at beautiful Fort Stevenson State Park.
It is located near Garrison, North Dakota and right alongside beautiful Lake Sakakawea. The long weekend is gearing up to be three days of awesome kite fun!
From May 25-27, 2024, the fort will turn into a family-friendly festival.
While here you can go camping in the park, enjoy the vendors, take part in activities, and, of course, fly kites to your heart's content.
People of all ages, from little tykes to great grandparents and everyone in between, can take advantage of the many activities lined up on each day.
There are candy drops each day, kites flying all the time, and exciting things like Bol Races. It's one of the most family-friendly things to do in North Dakota!
Professional kite makers, enthusiasts, and flying groups from all over will be coming to Fort Stevenson for the weekend to show off their incredible kites.
You don't need a fancy, expensive kite to fly here, though. You can use whatever you have and make full use of the wide open North Dakota skies.

Admission to the event is entirely free and a day pass into the park is only $7, making it a budget-friendly activity, too!
