I am a big arcade fan (pinball is a favorite!) and I'm thrilled to be surrounded by several great options in the Garden State. I've previously featured the Silverball Museum in Asbury Park, Hailey's Harp-Cade in Metuchen, 8 On The Break in Dunellen, and Billy's Midway in Hawthorne. Today, it's all about the Morristown Game Vault.
Morristown Game Vault is a massive arcade housed in a former bank building.
Inside and out, it's a beautiful place. But while the high ceilings and ambient lighting are lovely, it's the games that make this place worth a visit.
The Vault offers a wide selection of classic video games, pinball machines, and consoles. There are over 100 to choose from.
Games include Asteroids, Arkanoid, Burger Town, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Space Invaders, Daytona USA, and many more.
While the games are mostly classic favorites, the pinball machines are a mix of classic and modern. You'll find Lord of the Rings, Metallica, Star Trek, Ghostbusters, and others.
No need to bring quarters. All games are set to free play and players' time is tracked by wristband. Sessions start at 30 minutes and a 5-hour pass is (at the time of publication) $25.
If you're looking for something extra-special, you can even rent the space for private events. Have birthday parties, bachelor parties, and more!
You can also enjoy the arcade by participating in special events including tournaments and cosplay contests with prizes! Top players even have the opportunity to win cash prizes!
There's also a weekly pinball league on Tuesday nights! Visitors of all ages are sure to have a blast at this arcade. Take time to explore, you'll even find games in the former bank vault!
