High Meadows Farms offers two different locations for their activities. In the summer they operate in Wolfeboro, while the winter has them in Moultonborough. Both locations are absolutely beautiful and offer one of the most unique ways to see the state.

While the farm offers both lessons and camps for kids, those of us who are relatively new to horses can still enjoy them by taking part in one of the farm's many tours of the landscape surrounding the farms.

In the summer you can take in views of the White Mountains and the farm's rolling grass pastures. In the winter you'll be treated to woods and small streams and rivers as well as country bridges and acres of impressive scenery.

There are a few options you can enjoy, but we love the Ultimate Trail Ride!

This 1.5-hour tour begins by spending time with your horse at the barn. This is a great way for both riders and horses to get comfortable with one another.

You'll also learn how to care for your horse by grooming and tacking to prepare for your ride.

After spending some time learning the basics of riding you'll be off onto the trails!

While many tours on horseback require single-file riding the experience gained before your ride means you'll be trusted to ride alongside others. This makes the ride far more fun and you'll be able to customize your time.

After exploring you'll return to the farm for some additional time riding before dismounting and untacking your horse. You'll even be able to feed them snacks!
