3. Tilton Inn, Tilton
Also known as the 1875 Inn for the year it was built, this hotel is so spooky that it was investigated by a team of ghost hunters - who confirmed that this place is definitely haunted. Over the years, there were three major fires in the building, one of which claimed the life of a 12-year-old named Laura. Let's just say she's never left. 4. The Hotel Portsmouth, Portsmouth

5. The Notchland Inn, Hart's Location
This charming inn dates back to the 1920s, but its haunting goes back much further, to 1778, when a woman named Nancy Barton died in a snowstorm on the property while chasing her betrothed, who she learned was unfaithful. This charming building dates back to 1649, and it's rumored that the daughter of its original owner drowned in a nearby creek and haunts the inn to this day.
