Take A Spooky Ghost Tour At Montana’s Majestic Moss Mansion
There's never a bad time to visit Montana's beautiful historic Moss Mansion. That being said, if you're a fan of all things Halloween, October is a perfect time. Not only is the traditional Haunted Moss event happening this year (albeit a bit differently), but there are all kinds of spooky family-friendly tours and information about the real-life ghost encounters that have happened here. Fill your gas tank, head to Billings, and prepare to be spooked.
The Moss Mansion is a beautiful local gem you'll find at 914 Division Street in Billings.
Guests can visit any time of year, and sometimes guided tours are available. You can even rent this lavish space for weddings and other private events.
The mansion was constructed in 1903 for Preston Boyd Moss, a local influential entrepreneur, and his family.
It was designed by New York architect Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, designer of the original Waldorf Astoria and Plaza Hotels.
There are rumors that the mansion is haunted by the Moss family... and every October, it is converted into a haunted mansion for Halloween.
Haunted Moss is an annual tradition Montanans of all ages have come to love.
Haunted Moss will continue this year, although things might look a bit different.
Tickets must be booked online, masks are required indoors, and guests are highly encouraged to spread out as much as possible.
This year's calendar includes over 20 specially-themed activities and events, each with their "scariness" levels ranked.
Some, like the Kids' Maze, are appropriate for all ages. Others, like the Haunted Labyrinth, are best suited for older children and adults.
Are you interested in a more interactive experience? Horror Theater: Ghost Encounters @ Moss Manor is for you.
