The Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana, offers free access to a creative environment dedicated to ceramic arts.
Life in Montana is amazing, but it isn't always cheap. Luckily, there are still some great free attractions in The Last Best Place, one of which is the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena.
The Archie Bray Foundation is located at 2915 Country Club Avenue in Helena.
The foundation is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to the enrichment of the ceramic arts.
Brickmaker Archie Bray founded the place in 1952, hoping it would be a place for anyone interested in the ceramic arts.
Its primary mission is to provide an environment that stimulates creative work in ceramics. And for everyone else, it's an amazing place to visit.
It's always free to visit, although the organization is supported by donations and paid memberships.
Contributions are gratefully accepted but never required.
"Doing the Bray" is always fun--you never know what you'll see.
From classic ceramics to creative sculptures, this creative place has it all.
The Archie Bray Foundation is open Monday-Saturday from 10 AM - 5 PM.
They are also open on Sundays during the summer from 1-5.
Life in the Treasure State may not be cheap, but you can always find something to do without opening your wallet.
