Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium In Missouri Has Officially Been Named One Of The Best In The Country

Billed as the world's largest aquarium and wildlife attraction, Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield recently made the 35th spot on Always Pets' "35 Best Aquariums, Ranked."

Carve out plenty of time for your visit, especially if it's your first time. The museum and aquarium spans 350,000 square feet and boasts a 1.5 million-gallon aquarium.

Channel that childlike wonder when you marvel at some of the 35,000 fish that call the aquarium home.

Wear comfy shoes, because you have a lot of space to explore. The Great Barrier Reef, for example, towers three stories and is home to countless reef fish.

You can also visit the Amazon Rainforest, the open ocean, and a shipwreck reef, the latter of which features eels and lobsters.

Come face-to-face with a variety of creatures of the sea - turtles, octopus, and jellyfish.

For a one-of-a-kind adventure, go underwater in a metal cage and get up-close with the sharks. The Out To Sea Feeding Frenzy and the Out To Sea Shark Dive are both offered at the aquarium.
