This Canopy Walk In Kentucky Will Make Your Stomach Drop

You might be surprised to learn that we have an amazing canopy walk in Kentucky. There are even those that might be unaware of exactly what a canopy walk is. Fortunately, Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest at 2499 Clermont Road in Clermont offers the perfect place to become acquainted with one. It takes us on a beautiful above ground stroll you can experience and appreciate at your own pace. This is somewhere you will definitely want to take your camera, as the scenery is breathtaking.

Long before you reach the Canopy Walk, the beauty is memorizing.

There are amazing illuminations of color and life all along the drive and walk.

You can stop at the Bernheim Arboretum for a rest, to visit the garden, or get a guide.

This adventure makes for a perfect family or friendly outing.

This is your first up close look at the Tree Top Canopy Walk.

The wooden bridge is more sturdy than you might think.

Once you get to the end, you have a beautiful overlook.

Mother Nature seems to go on for an eternity. Trees and plants survive untainted by mankind's destruction.

If it happens to rain, everything seems to just glow with life. You'll need to watch your step though, as the wood can get a little slick.

Sometimes a fog mists up deep in the forest, contrasting against the vibrant green of the leaves.

The view of the valley is breathtaking with vivid shades of green for miles.

We get to enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature all the way back down the trail.

The rays of the sun shimmer off the trees and plants all along your journey. It is almost as if the beauty of Mother Nature is adding highlights just for you.

If the Canopy Walk wasn't exciting enough, you can always walk on water at Cedar Pond. Well, more so a bridge across water, but it is still really serene.

This Canopy Walk in Kentucky may not be as long as some, but the views are just as breathtaking. It is easy to wander around Bernheim for hours just soaking up nature and enjoying the serenity. Bernheim Forest was one of my favored spots in youth, and still provides a welcome escape from the city. The tree top walk wasn't around back then, but it is a welcome distraction now.
