Alpenrose Vail In Colorado Offers A Unique Dining Experience

At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in December 2020, Alpenrose decided to source and import several decommissioned gondolas from Italy to turn them into private, outdoor dining rooms. This restaurant serves a variety of authentic German dishes. The vibe is decidedly Bavarian. You'll love it.

Alpenrose Vail sourced the gondolas from South Tyrol in Italy. From there they went to Austria to have the interiors completed, and then they went to Germany to restore the exteriors. Finally, they made their way to Vail in December 2020.

If you want to eat in one of these gondolas, you'll have to make reservations in advance.

The menu in the gondola is prix-fixe. First, you get a salad. Then, you get an entree which you and your companions will prepare yourselves on a Raclette Grill & Fondue Combo cooker. Finally, you'll get to choose between two different desserts at the end.
