This 1,200-acre state park opened in 1999 and quickly became one of the most popular state parks in Louisiana.
Conveniently located between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Tickfaw State Park is every nature lover’s paradise.

One of the most exciting attractions about the park are the unique ecosystems. There are four distinct ecosystems within the park: a cypress-tupelo swamp, a bottomland hardwood forest, a mixed pine hardwood forest, and the Tickfaw River.
One of the best ways to explore the park is by strolling along one of the many trails.
