You’ll Be Happy To Hear That South Carolina’s Fall Foliage Is Expected To Be Bright And Bold This Year

South Carolina's peak fall foliage is expected in early November, with a recommended road trip to enjoy the vibrant colors.

Do you think fall is the most amazing time of year? It's definitely at the top of the list for seasons to get outside and play in South Carolina. And this fall season promises to be filled with brightly colored landscapes - the likes of which we may not have seen in recent years. Each year, the folks at SmokyMountains.com release an annual interactive fall foliage prediction map that helps when planning everything from day trips to weekend excursions to enjoy the incoming fall season.

For 2019, the seasonal changes look to be arriving right on time, according to the prediction map.

While most of the rest of the country will have peaked (and turned brown on this map, as in real life), the leaves in South Carolina will just be winding up to an explosion of bright red, yellow, and orange.

Not all predictions can be 100% accurate, but...

South Carolina's two peak weeks of autumnal bliss will take place beginning the week of November 2nd and extending into the week of November 9th.

Up until then, October's fall colors may be a little patchy with possibly an occasional smattering of colors.

So if you really want to see the biggest and brightest fall colors this year, you'll wait until the week after Halloween to plan any trips to experience the splendor of the season.

Hoping to get out and see this amazing season in full bloom? Here's a fall foliage road trip we put together that has your course and plan of attack all mapped out. Enjoy!
