The Tiny Oregon Town That’s World Famous For Its Hot Dogs

Looking for the best hot dog in the state? Head to Langlois Market where you'll find world-famous frankfurters. Langlois is a tiny town near the Oregon coast between Port Orford and Bandon. Many Oregonians have heard of this unincorporated community — I've never been but hope to make the trek soon. I hear that the hot dogs at Langlois Market are definitely worth a trip!

What makes these dogs so special? Locals say it's the house-made sweet mustard, careful preparation, and top-notch frankfurters. Try one for yourself!

Langlois Market has been selling fabulous hot dogs for over 40 years.

Locals and visitors alike attest that these are no ordinary hot dogs!

The shop sells hundreds of hot dogs per day (often well over the number of local residents).

Owner Jake Pestana estimates that the total number of hot dogs sold tops 1.5 million!

The market sells all your basic grocery needs as well as treats like ice cream.

In addition to hot dogs, other deli items like sandwiches, burgers, and pulled pork are also on the menu.

Langlois Market is also famous for its friendly service.

For more information, to view the menu, or to place an order, check out the Langlois Market website. If your visit is part of a road trip, you may want to stock up on car-friendly snacks for the drive there — but you can stock up on provisions at the market (or a couple more hotdogs) to take home for the return trip! And don't forget to visit the nearby beaches, too.
