Take This Fall Foliage Train Ride Near Portland For A One-Of-A-Kind Experience

While Portland and its surrounding areas have a plethora of pine trees to help keep up looking green year round, there are still plenty of opportunities to spot some fall color. For one of the most epic fall color tours around, take a ride on the Mt Hood Railroad's Harvest Fall Excursion and enjoy some of the best fall colors of the season.

Departing on the weekends, this is one of the most popular train trips you can take.

Starting in Hood River, the 4-hour trip takes you to Parkdale and back.

Along the way, you will enjoy two scenic photo-taking opportunities that highlight the best of the season.

An onboard guest speaker will narrate the journey, providing you with interesting historical and present-day information about the area best known for its fruit.

When you reach Parkdale, you will have a short layover in the small town.
